      BY WATER Ferryboats run 24 hours a day, seven days a week all year long crossing the Corpus Christi Ship Channel to and from Port Aransas and Harbor Island.

      S everal recent improvements at Port Aransas' Mustang Beach bring the once-quiet little island airport into direct competition with larger fields such as T.C. McCampbell Airport in Aransas Pass and Aransas County Airport in Rockport.

Trolley, Flexi-B fares higher
      I f you're used to riding around Port Aransas on the trolley for free, better reach for a roll of quarters. Effective last summer, the Regional Transportation Authority in Corpus Christi - which operates the trolley as well as the Flexi-B route from Port Aransas to Corpus Christi - imposed a fare on the trolley for the first time.

What are those funny little concrete boats?
      F arley boat planters decorated in many different themes and colors are "docking" all over Port Aransas thanks to the Garden Club. The Farley boat will have a place as part of the town's history because of this visible reminder of its contribution to Port Aransas.
