Beach parking stickers are required on beach
      V isitors who haven't parked on Mustang Island beaches in a year or so may be in for a slight shock this summer. The price of beach parking stickers has gone from $6 for an annual parking pass to $12.

      M ustang Island State Park, 13 miles south of Port Aransas straddling the island from the Gulf of Mexico to Corpus Christi Bay, continues to draw visitors who are interested in a stay along the beach or a visit to a wetland - or both.

Walks reveal secrets of Port Aransas beaches
      V isitors are invited to learn more about the beach that draws them to Port Aransas. The City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department offers free, guided beach walks on the fourth Friday of each month. The walks should help satisfy your curiosity about all the "stuff" that washes ashore along the beaches of Mustang Island.
