Fishing Texas waters? License is required
      N ew fishing and hunting licenses are required each year by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Sportsmen are reminded annual hunting and fishing licenses (except for the year-to-date fishing license) expire Aug. 31. Licenses may be purchased at several locations in Port Aransas, including charter fishing agencies and the Family Center IGA.

      I f the sweltering summertime bite only wets your appetite for big fish, then stick around Port Aransas for some cooler weather fall fishing action. As the water temperatures trickle down with the coming of autumn, the action tends to heat up both offshore and in the bay areas.
