JELM offers fun
      Winter Texans can't complain about being bored or lonely thanks to the Joint Effort Leisure Ministry (JELM) Center. The JELM offers five days of fun including, but not limited to, arts and crafts, music and line dancing, brown bag lunches, fitness classes, games, lectures, hands-on workshops, meals and socials.

Getting Around
      BY WATER Ferryboats run 24 hours a day, seven days a week all year long crossing the Corpus Christi Ship Channel to and from Port Aransas and Harbor Island. Jetty Boat transports fishermen and beachcombers to St. Joseph's Island from Fisherman's Wharf, $12 adults. $6 children under 12. 900 N. Tarpon St., 749-5448.

Computer Center offers free access to Internet and e-mail
      The Port Aransas Computer Center only gets better as time marches forward. "We've added a couple of new computers, and we're adding a backup hard drive for the file server," said John Somers, president of the Port Aransas Computer Club.

Trolley around town
      Need a ride? Got a quarter? See the trolley? Wave it down and it will stop for you. The B Trolley in Port Aransas goes to just about everywhere on its route - even to the jetties or to Horace Caldwell Pier on the beach. Colorful signs mark the trolley route and riders can flag down the trolley at any location along the route.
