Free beach walks are held on fourth Friday
      Curious visitors and residents interested in learning more about what washes onto the beaches of Mustang Island may join free, monthly, guided beach walks. The City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department offers the walks on the fourth Friday of each month.

I.B. Magee Park improved
      Anyone who camps on the beach near the Port Aransas south jetty will surely appreciate the facilities maintained at I.B. Magee Jr. Beach Park. The Nueces County Parks and Recreation Department has occupied its new multi-purpose facility on the beach for more than a year since it was built for $1.8 million in 2007.

Ordinances aim to protect Port Aransas city beaches
      Whether you came here to fish, to enjoy the climate or for whatever reason, chances are you'll wind up on the beach sooner or later. Port Aransans are proud of our Gulf beaches, and want visitors to enjoy them as much as possible. But we also have to take care of them, to assure our children and grandchildren can also enjoy them.
