| Port Aransas has
been inviting families to share its beaches during the annual spring holiday, and more and more are accepting that invitation.
College students now mix with moms, dads, tots and teens. The focus is less on suds and sun and more on fishing, shopping and fun.
Families charter fishing boats to lead them to the catch of the day in nearshore and offshore waters. They scour the dunes and back bays with binoculars looking for birds that live here year round or stop by during their spring migration.
Dining out is a big part of coming to Port Aransas, whether it's for Spring Break or a weekend getaway. Restaurants run the gamut from fine dining to fast food - there's a restaurant to satisfy every palate.
Port Aransas also boasts a plethora of unique boutiques offering clothing, décor, collectibles, jewelry, art and more.
When it's time to chill out after a day of sunning, fishing, shopping and dining, Port Aransas offers watering holes with music from country and western to rock-nroll and karaoke, too.
