Getting Around
      BY WATER Ferryboats run 24 hours a day, seven days a week all year long crossing the Corpus Christi Ship Channel to and from Port Aransas and Harbor Island. Free. Jetty Boat transports fishermen and beachcombers to St. Joseph's Island from Fisherman's Wharf, $12 adults. $6 children under 12. 900 N. Tarpon St., 749-5448.

Catch the trolley
      V isitors to Mustang Island might be surprised to learn that Port Aransas has public transportation. The B Trolley in Port Aransas goes to just about everywhere in the city on its route - even to the jetties and to Horace Caldwell Pier on the beach.

Enjoy free Internet access at computer center
      T he Port Aransas Computer Center, at 430 N. Alister St., has made a number of major changes over the past two years. Thanks to a number of local businesses and the help of the Weir Foundation, 15 older computers have been replaced with new Dell machines with upgraded memory and faster processors.

      A nytime is a great time to visit the Bill Ellis Memorial Library. Read about the history of Mustang Island's only incorporated city in some of the library's history collection, which includes "Hurricane Junction" by Cyril Matthew Kuehne, and "The Stubborn Fisherman," by Elda Mae Roberts.

      FISHING Charters Deep Sea Headquarters, 416 W. Cotter, 749-5597. Three party boats with concessions are available for group fishing, private charters for one to six anglers. Mostly offshore fishing trips made, usually for eight hours. Shorter trips available if demand warrants them. Guides available for bay fishing charters.
