Getting Around
      BY WATER Ferryboats run 24 hours a day, seven days a week all year long crossing the Corpus Christi Ship Channel to and from Port Aransas and Harbor Island. Free. Jetty Boat transports fishermen and beachcombers to St. Joseph's Island from Fisherman's Wharf, $12 adults. $6 children under 12. 900 N. Tarpon St., 749-5448.

Tourist Bureau has plenty of info, maps, more
      The Chamber of Commerce Tourist Bureau is a one-stop shop full of information about Port Aransas. The bureau is located at 403 W. Cotter, about a block east of the ferry landing in the sunny yellow building trimmed in white. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Trolley around town
      Take a trip on the trolley! The B Trolley in Port Aransas goes to most parts of the city - even to Horace Caldwell Pier on the beach. Signs mark the route, and riders can flag down the trolley at any location along the route.

Ferries operate 24/7
      Practically from the moment visitors arrive in Port Aransas, they're treated to a free boat ride, courtesy of the Texas Department of Transportation. TxDOT operates six free ferries that shuttle vehicles from Harbor Island across the Corpus Christi Ship Channel to Mustang Island.
