PACT offers cool entertainment

Cast members from an earlier PACT production gather to ham it up. These folks and others who participate in PACT productions welcome live audiences and performers interested in participating. After catching your limit, soaking up the sun and stepping away from a satisfying seafood dinner, head over to the Port Aransas Community Theater.

This summer's playbill includes comedy, variety and melodrama.

The nonprofit community theater group presents entertainment year round at the new performance facility on State Hwy. 361 at Sea Isle Drive.

All performances are at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.

Reserve your tickets for "Saturday Night Specials" each Saturday in June. Storytelling, skits, and musicals will all be performed.

Melodrama is on the menu when PACT will present "Shoot Out at Darby Wells"

on July 31-Aug. 1, Aug. 7, 8, 14, 15, and a matinee on Aug. 16.

"Broken Up," a comedy, is slated for Sept. 18, 19, 25, 26, and Oct. 2, 3, 9, 10 and a matinee on Sept. 11..

PACT is a nonprofit organization funded by donations, ticket sales and the annual Fall Back music, wine and food tasting festival scheduled for the Saturday night before Daylight Saving Time reverts to Central Standard Time.

PACT is manned by an all-volunteer workforce that continues to raise funds to complete various aspects of the new theater complex.

Memberships in PACT also go to the building fund, if so designated. The memberships are tax deductible and are available in a range of prices from $25 for an individual to $50 for a family, $100 for patrons, $500 for angels and $1,000 or more for saints.
