Live theater keeps audiences entertained

Greater Tuna played to full audiences in January. The Port Aransas Community Theater is just the ticket for springtime entertainment.

The community theater group presents yearround productions at the performance facility on State Hwy. 361, at Sea Isle Drive.

This spring’s playbill includes the comedy, “Blithe Spirit,” in February and March; “Cheatin’,” a mature comedy, in March and April; a Seashore Middle Academy youth production in April and open auditions and workshops in May.

All performances are at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.

For reservations for any performance, call (361) 749-6036 between noon and 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, or between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday.

PACT is a nonprofit organization funded by donations, ticket sales and the annual Fall Back music, wine and food-tasting festival scheduled for the Saturday night before Daylight Saving Time reverts to Central Standard Time.

PACT is manned by an all-volunteer workforce that continues to raise funds to complete various aspects of the new theater complex.

Memberships in PACT are tax deductible and are available in a range of prices from $25 for an individual to $50 for a family, $100 for patrons, $500 for angels and $1,000 or more for saints.
