Live theater keeps audiences entertained
This spring’s playbill includes the comedy, “Blithe Spirit,” in February and March; “Cheatin’,” a mature comedy, in March and April; a Seashore Middle Academy youth production in April and open auditions and workshops in May. All performances are at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. For reservations for any performance, call (361) 749-6036 between noon and 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, or between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday. PACT is a nonprofit organization funded by donations, ticket sales and the annual Fall Back music, wine and food-tasting festival scheduled for the Saturday night before Daylight Saving Time reverts to Central Standard Time. Volunteer directors, actors, sound and lighting technicians, musicians, and set construction and costume design volunteers of all experience levels are always welcome. E-mail pacttheater@yahoo.com to volunteer. PACT is manned by an all-volunteer workforce that continues to raise funds to complete various aspects of the new theater complex. Memberships in PACT are tax deductible and are available in a range of prices from $25 for an individual to $50 for a family, $100 for patrons, $500 for angels and $1,000 or more for saints. To become a member, call (361) 749-6036, or make checks payable to PACT and mail them to P.O. Box 835, Port Aransas, TX 78373. Watch the weekly editions of the South Jetty for information on upcoming productions and any changes in the schedule. |
