Style Show so much fun husbands want to attend

Models and guests found plenty to smile about during last year’s Style Show. The event, scheduled for Thursday, March 4, this year, includes ‘boothtiques’ for shopping, wine, fashions and so much fun that even the husbands of the sponsoring Port Aransas Garden Club want to attend. "Tango on the Texas Riviera” is the theme that will set the tone for what is already considered one of the best parties in town, the Style Show and Party put on by the Port Aransas Garden Club.

The event is slated for Thursday, March 4, at the Civic Center, 710 W. Ave. A.

How much fun is it? It’s so much fun that husbands of the almost all-women garden club beg to be allowed to serve wine during the festivities.

The fun will start with shopping when the doors open at 1 p.m. Shoppers may browse to their hearts’ content and their wine glasses will be refilled as they peruse potential purchases from many Port Aransas shops and “shopping boothtiques.”

Then, at 2:30 p.m., it’s show time.

Darlene Secich is the chairman for the festivities. Moderator will be Joy Morrow Lucas. Last year she showed up as a redhead; who knows what she’ll do this year.
