Tee time is island time
      We’ve got golf, and we’ve got it good. The first-ever 18-hole golf course in Port Aransas, the Newport Dunes Golf Club, opened in 2008. It is an Arnold Palmer Signature course, which means the pro golf legend kept an eye on the project throughout design and construction.

Want to go fishing? Get a license
      If you’re going to do some fishing while you’re in Port Aransas, don’t forget that new fishing licenses – and hunting licenses, for that matter – are required each year by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Annual fishing and hunting licenses (except for the yearto date fishing license) expire every Aug. 31.
