If you are in Port Aransas on the fourth Friday of the month, take time out to take part in a guided beach walk at 9 a.m.

The City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the free walk led by Port Aransas resident Lisa Ansley.

Participants should meet at the purple flag next to Horace Caldwell Pier at the end of Beach Street.

Ansley will guide participants along the shoreline to look for the various treasures found washed up in the surf.

Be sure to wear appropriate shoes, bring drinking water, sunscreen and a container to carry your finds.
