Annual style show slated on March 2

One of the events that is most anticipated is the annual “Fashions and Flip Flops-Island Style” fashion show presented by the Port Aransas Garden Club.

Everyone is invited to an afternoon of the latest fashion, shopping, beverages and light hors d’oeuvres.

The event will be held Thursday, March 2, at the Port Aransas Civic Center, 710 W.Ave.A.

Models will walk the runway wearing the latest in spring and summer resort and beach wear available at Port Aransas merchants.

In addition, participating boutiques will have booths set up for a shopping opportunity before the show begins.

Proceeds from the style show are used for scholarships for graduating Port Aransas High School seniors as well as various beautification and landscaping project in our community.
