Plays, musicals, comedies, variety shows and more for all age groups are offered at the Port Aransas Community Theatre (PACT).

In addition, the facility is used for movies, concerts and community activities throughout the year.

The theater is located at 2327 State Highway 361 at Sea Isle Drive.

Weekly editions of the South Jetty contain the PACT calendar as well as stories on upcoming auditions, productions and performance schedules.

Auditions for shows and plays are open to residents and visitors alike.

Volunteer directors, actors, sound and lighting technicians, musicians and set construction and costume design volunteers of all experience levels are always welcome.

Volunteers also are needed to help during the shows in concessions, as ushers and in the box office. As a thank you to the volunteers, the PACT invites them to stay and enjoy the performance at no charge.

PACT board members have announced the spring 2023 production schedule.

“Mid-Life 2” will be on stage Feb. 16 through March 5, followed by “Drinking Habits” March 30 through April 16. In May, “Kitchen Witches” will be on stage May 11 through 21.

Four membership levels are available and are tax-deducible. To become a member, go online to the website previously listed.

PACT is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization funded by memberships, donations, sponsorships, ticket sales and various fundraisers.
