While visiting Port Aransas, spend a summer morning to search for the various creatures and items that wash ashore.
You can learn about what you find on guided beach walks, which are held the fourth Friday of each month.
The free, informative walks are led by Port Aransas resident Lisa Ansley at 9 a.m.
Those who wish to participate should meet at the orange windsock next to Horace Caldwell Pier on the beach.
Ansley will guide participants along the shoreline to look for shells, rocks, sharks’ teeth and more washed up in the surf.
Be sure to wear appropriate shoes, bring drinking water, sunscreen and a container to carry your finds.
