‘Disney’s Little Mermaid’ was on stage in summer 2022.
Port Aransas can boast a facility that offers entertainment that includes plays, musicals, comedies, bands and tribute shows and more for all age groups at the Port Aransas Community Theatre (PACT).
The facility also is used for movies, community activities and events throughout the year.
The theater is located at 2327 State Highway 361 at Sea Isle Drive.
Coming to the PACT stage in summer 2023 are “5 Lesbians Eating Quiche,” for one weekend only, June 15 to 18. On June 24, a Rod Stewart Tribute Show will be on stage. Vic Vega, a Rod Stewart impersonator will perform. “The Lightning Thief, The Percy Jackson Musical” will entertainment July 27 through Aug. 13.
Auditions for shows and plays are open to residents and visitors alike.
Volunteer directors, actors, sound and lighting technicians, musicians and set construction and costume design volunteers of all experience levels are always welcome.
Volunteers also are needed to help during the shows in concessions, as ushers and in the box office. As a thank you to the volunteers, the PACT invites them to stay and enjoy the performance at no charge.
PACT is a nonprofit 501(c) ( 3) organization funded by memberships, donations, sponsorships, ticket sales and various fundraisers.
Memberships are available for $25 and are tax-deducible. Membership privileges include ability to vote for PACT board members, voting for the Sandy Awards, an annual members’ reception and a PACT season T-shirt.
